Picnic Planning – Our staff will assist you in organizing and executing the perfect event. We can brainstorm with you on great theme ideas and provide all the elements that go along with it. Food and Beverage – We work with the top caterers in the valley. Many with over twenty years of experience who have built their reputation on serving fresh and delicious food made from scratch. With a professional and well trained service staff, they will make sure that your dining experience is exceptional.
Entertainment – The Bay Area is a haven for artists and entertainers. We have access to a wide assortment of acts including: Bands of every variety and genre, magicians, clowns, kids entertainment and activities, murder mystery troupes, casinos, disc jockeys, interactive games, photographers, solo musicians, special event characters, to name but a few. We are sure to find the right entertainment for any theme.
Equipment and Props – We work with many of the biggest equipment and prop houses in the state. They have a wide variety of catering and staging equipment as well as themed props that will add a touch of theatrics to any event. We coordinate all the deliveries and personnel for set and strike of all.
Services – There are lots of other interesting and unique services we can provide for your event: valet parking, espresso stands, invitations, photo booths, T-shirts and other giveaways, informational flyers with directions for your picnic, and many others. Our goal is to make your job as easy as possible and to provide everything you need for a successful, fun event.
Examples of picnic themes we can produce for you:
Carnival/Circus
Wander through the colorful red and white carnival booths for an old fashion carnival. Test your skills at the games to win lots of fun prizes. We can also provide you with circus entertainers to meander through the booths: juggler, mime, stilt-walker, or acrobat. Carnival food is also available with fresh popcorn, cotton candy, sno-cones, and rope licorice.
Mardi Gras Festival
The two best reasons to celebrate Mardi Gras are the food and the music. Our caterer has strong ties with the food of New Orleans and can create an authentic food experience for your group. Along with a zydaco band, lots of beads and masks, you will feel like you are on Bourbon Street.
South Seas/Caribbean/Hawaiian Theme
Come with us as we visit the islands of the Caribbean or South Pacific. Nautical props and tropical flowers adorn the buffet filled with enticing food. We can provide silk leis or even fresh leis from the islands. Caribbean Activities/Entertainment can include Steel Drum or Reggae Band, Pro Limbo Dancers, Limbo Contest, Treasure Hunt with authentic Treasure Chest lead by Captain Graybeard, Island Olympics. Hawaiian Activities range from Polynesian Dancers and Band, Hula Dance Lessons with a Hawaiian Dance performed by your exec’s in grass skirts, Lei Making Demo, and Island Olympics.
Sports Themes
Extreme X-Games – We coordinate and execute the games and award prizes to the winning team as they compete in the following games: Bucket Relay, Balloon Relay, Waterballooon Toss, and three inflatable interactive games. We recommend: HUMAN FOOSBALL – A life-size, inflatable version of the popular tablegame. Ten participants (5 per team) enter a 50′ x 30′ arena. Each row of participants puts on a waist harness which is connected to long poles replicating the Foosball table game controls so they can only move left or right in their zone. Teamwork is of paramount importance to win this game. HUMAN BOWLING – You be the ball and your team is the bowler. Climb inside the ball and roll down the inflated lane into six-foot foam pins. GIANT OBSTACLE COURSE – Run, Jump, Flip and Fly through our inflatable course.
Sports competitions: We will coordinate the teams competition in three sports: softball , volleyball and Supersports. Supersports is wacky and zany relays that brings lots of laughter and team building to your picnic. We provide a master of ceremonies, all the equipment, six events, and prizes for the winning team. This is also a great opportunity for pictures and video. Events: Rum Relay, Coconut Carry, Sling Shot Accuracy Contest, Key Lime Pie Eating Contest, Balloon Relay, Frisbee Toss, Overhead Water Balloon Toss.
Old Time Picnic – An all-American picnic with old time relays, Dixieland Jazz, game booths and a wonderful food buffet that includes an ice cream buffet for dessert. We can even supply popcorn and cotton candy! Games include hoop rolling, penny in a haystack, hog calling and a baked goods competition.
Beach Blanket Bingo - Cowabunga…load up the “Woody” and join Moondoggie and Gidget for a day in the sand! The DJ spins your favorite beach tunes from the 60′s and we ride the wild surf. Sand Castle Building Contest, Kite Flying, limbo and beach games will be available. Props include Beach Signs, Life Rings, Beach Balls, Surfboards, and nautical items. We even have a new surf rider (think mechanical bull) that anyone can enjoy!
Groovy 60′s – Take a trip back in time to the Summer of Love. With potted daisy centerpieces and psychedelic props like an oversized Peace Sign, tie-dye hippie flags, bean bag chairs, bead curtains and a lava lamp, you will have a far out day. Have your picture taken with a VW Microbus in some cool 60′s threads. Other activities could include the Groovy Games competition, spin art, Henna Body Tattoos, Ping Pong Tables and Giant Twister.
Mexican Fiesta – A beautiful buffet awaits your group filled with piñatas and sombreros. Create your own fajita or taco with all the trimmings and for desert how about a Mexican Churro. We will also have an adult piñata as well as a kids. Activities – Mexican Trio, Mexican Games, Mexican arts and crafts.
Country & Western Picnic – Howdy Pardner! Lets jump on the horse and have ourselves a barn burner. Ribs and chicken will be the fare with a wonderful array of old time relays including the sack race, three legged race, cow pie tossing and many more. We have roping contests, a petting zoo, bull riding, country bands and lots of authentic props.
Baseball Theme – The smells of a big league ball game will be in the air as we take the All-Stars out to the ballgame. Lots of baseball memorabilia on the buffet along with chicken and sausages. A softball tournament with Cracker Jack and peanut venders can come complete with a Frisbee Dog half-time show or a hilarious comic magician.
Olympic/International Picnic - Celebrate the international competition of the Olympics with a taste of the flavors of the world. We have a variety of international performers who can entertain the crowd during lunch such as acrobats from China, an Italian singer from Italy, a Carnival dance troupe from Brazil or a Mariachi Band from Mexico. After lunch, the ceremonies will begin with the entrance of the Olympic torch. Go for the Gold has you join in this friendly competition.
